PhotoPipe Privacy Policy

Tedy Development ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This document describes how the macOS PhotoPipe application handles personal information.

Data We Collect

PhotoPipe runs entirely on your Mac. We do not collect or transmit any personal data to our servers.

While you use the app, we store the following information locally on your device:

Transfer metadata – file names, sizes, creation dates, and device identifiers necessary to manage the transfer queue.
Device cache – a record of previously indexed devices/assets so we can skip duplicates on future sessions.
Usage quota state – the current free-tier counter and unlock status required to enforce the paywall.

This information is saved inside the application sandbox at:

~/Library/Containers/<bundle identifier>/Data/Library/Application Support/PhotoPipe

You may remove this data at any time by using the in-app "Clear" option or deleting the container directory.

Purchases

PhotoPipe uses Apple's StoreKit framework for the optional upgrade to unlimited transfers. Purchases are processed by Apple; we never receive raw payment information. We only store the resulting entitlement status locally to unlock features.

No Analytics or Third-Party Tracking

PhotoPipe does not use analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or other third-party tracking. The app does not send logs or diagnostics to us automatically.

Security

The app operates inside Apple's sandbox with the minimum entitlements required to access your connected device and chosen export folder. Security-scoped bookmarks are used to preserve your directory selection without broad file-system access.

Your Choices

Delete cached data: Use the in-app "Clear" button or remove the app container to purge all stored metadata and quota information.
Opt out of purchases: You can continue using the free tier without upgrading; the quota resets daily at midnight UTC.
